User group showing wrong number of users in it

If I go to Usermanagement and look at groups, eacht group has a number next to the group name. that number should indicate the users in that group. unfortunately that number is wrong. If i count the users in that group manually I get to 14. the number shows 19.

As I do only have 14 user accounts on that instance in total, that number 19 must be wrong. - I do have one deactivated user, but this still does not explain the delta of 5.

Assumption: deleted users are somehow still calculated as group member.

Update: I have on Group showing a 4 next to the group name. If I click on that group there is only one user shown in the userlist.

i updated to 25.03. I do have 73 active and 2 inactive users, but one group shows 78 members which must be wrong.

First, are you still seeing this behavior?

If so:

Unfortunately your original report doesn't have any context about your installation/setup.

• Are you using any backends (e.g. LDAP)?
• How does the output of occ group:list compare to what you see in the Web UI?

Hi,
the problem still occurs for one group on NC29.0.5

We do not use any backends. All users are generated directly in NC.

Currently we have 98 active and 1 inactive account. But one group shows 104 users. But when i scroll down the users of that group on the right side at the bottom it shows 98 users.

i don't know where that wrong 104 comes from. but a a fix you could probably just look where that 98 is coming from and use the same code on the left side? - just my humble idea without knowing much about how NC code works.

Unfortunately I do not have access to the console to run occ group:list
