Files Keyboard Shortcut for item with mouse over #54505

There are shortcut in the Files application to show right panel of an item, select it, manage tags, etc. But it is possible to use them only with item hovered with the keyboard arrows ("pre-select"): If you open a directory point mouse on a folder and tape "d", nothing happens.
Describe the solution you'd like
I wish it would be possible to use them with the item with the mouse over if none as been "pre-selected" with the keyboard.
Describe alternatives you've considered
- It should also be possible to have a Shift+Click to "pre-select" an item - then the css should maybe be slightly different with mouse over
- A selected item (when the selection input on the left is checked) should "pre-select" an item too.
Additional context
These shortcuts are maybe the way to go when we can't get used to the clicking UX, when a single click opens anything
