1. Go to Settings
2. Change Theme to Dark
3. Open a conversation

Expected behaviour

messages are legible

Actual behaviour

messages are very hard to read.

This seems to have happened between 4/2 and 4/4. I saw there was a large update to ChatActivity.

Thanks for the report @anakin78z and yes, in the last days the re-write of the chat view by @mahibi got merged which introduced this regression.

For a swift improvement of the situation I implemented and merged #6026 - however there are more minor issues / paper-cuts that will need to be addressed to get back to the former state from a visual perspective. Yet the dark mode should be usable again 🙏
