Since there is no desktop version for Linux, I tried running OD locally.
I tried running it under Node 24, which didn't work - when trying to sign in, I just get some kind of error about a missing dependency. I couldn't find any documentation explaining what that was.
So I tried running it under docker compose, which worked even less - when I click the sign-in button, I just get a generic "something went wrong" message, and back to the landing page.
I'm a developer, and I couldn't get this to run in half an hour.
I'm sure you don't expect end users to actually use either of these options, but as a Linux user, I'm not really left with any other options.
Mainly this makes me wonder: why is there no cloud hosted version?
I just wanted to try it. I don't want to spend time just trying to make it run.
And I mean, you sell a subscription?
But I still have to set it up and maintain it and run it locally?
Your product looks interesting.
But there are no good options for Linux users right now, and that's a shame.
