[MtxSelect] mtx-selects in dialogs (and other overlays)

I was having trouble with mtx-selects in dialogs where either the dropdown was showing behind the dialog or tooltips that I've added were showing below the dropdown. The fix is very simple... set the default appendTo to .cdk-overlay-container rather than body. This makes me wonder for ng-matero, which is always used with material, shouldn't the default appendTo be .cdk-overlay-container. If you do we also need to ensure OverlayContainer#getContainerElement is called in the MtxSelect class to ensure the overlay container exists before rendering the dropdown.

The mtx-select's panel is not implemented by CDK, so it shouldn't set appendTo to .cdk-overlay-container by default.
For your needs, I think you can set appendTo in the mtx-select global config.

It seams to me that since everyone using mtx-select is also running material, which is not the case for ng-select, the default for mtx-select should be .cdk-overlay-container. I can't think of a reason why a material user would not want the dropdown rendered in .cdk-overlay-container rather than body.

Anyway, that's my thought. Setting appendTo in the global config is working well for me. Thank you.
