To help ensure we’re covering downstream impacts thoroughly, could you provide input on a few areas related to these changes?

1. Testing Considerations

• Please share the testing considerations which you had for these changes.
• Also let us know if any additional specific area of consideration for testing in LabVIEW 26Q3 release branch.

2. Localization Impact

• Are there any new or modified user-facing strings included in this change?
  • If yes, can these be externalized, so it be reviewed for localization readiness (length, layout constraints, etc.)?
  • If no UI text is impacted, can we confirm this is a no localization impact change?

3. Help / Documentation Updates

• Do these changes require updates to README, usage docs, or installation guidance?
• Are there any workflow changes or new capabilities that should be documented for end users?
• Should we include any troubleshooting notes or migration guidance related to this update?

1. Testing Considerations

All changes were manually tested. I personally have been using the Icon Editor from source in my regular work. I have found a few bugs (old and new) this way and got them fixed. I did start an effort to formalize test procedures, but that has not been completed yet.

2. Localization Impact

• Are there any new or modified user-facing strings included in this change?

There is a new dialog located at /resource/plugins/NIIconEditor/User Dialogs/Verify Cancel.vi. I do not think any other GUI changes would affect localization (ie no text changes).

3. Help / Documentation Updates

• Do these changes require updates to README, usage docs, or installation guidance?
• Are there any workflow changes or new capabilities that should be documented for end users?
• Should we include any troubleshooting notes or migration guidance related to this update?

None of these will affect installation. I doubt your usage docs are detailed enough to worry about any changes done. The only real workflow change is the inclusion of a dialog to confirm a cancellation when there were changes.
