On screen translation

I'm not sure how hard it would be to add real-time or on command screen translation but if you can the please add it.

By "on screen translation" do you mean the translation of what you see on the screen even outside the app? Or on screen commands to decide when to start and stop voice recognition?

This is a problem for all machine translators, there is never a way to know if the translation is good without knowing the language (and if you know the language you don't need the translator), although you can actually tell the level of quality from how the other person responds to you.

Ah ok you were referring to that, maybe in the future I could add it as an option in the settings, although I repeat that knowing that the transcription went well only gives you a slight clue about the final quality. For now if you want to get an idea of the quality of the transcription I suggest you do some tests by setting your language as both input and output to see in general if it usually transcribes well.

In my opinion, a feature that allows for the translation of on-screen content, similar to what Google’s Circle to Search offers, would be extremely valuable, especially if it could function offline.

@orsinis Thank you for your feedback, one day I will do it (if Android will allow it), but that is a very complex feature, and for now I will focus more on improving the quality of the current features and on adding simple ones.
