Welcome to the Codenames Prompt Generator Chrome Extension! This extension is designed to enhance your Codenames gameplay experience by providing prompts for both Operatives and Spymasters.
- Get Prompts: Click on the Operator while playing Codenames as an Operative.
- Copy Prompt: Copy the generated prompt 🪄 from the extension popup.
- Paste into ChatGPT: Paste the prompt into ChatGPT to find the words based on the hints .
- Choose Team: Indicate whether you are on the red🟥 or blue🟦 team.
- Copy Prompt: Copy the generated prompt from the popup.
- Paste into ChatGPT: Paste the prompt into ChatGPT to receive hints specific to your team's words.
Cloning the Repository
Clone the repository to your local machine using the following command:
git clone https://nightcoder26/codenames-extension.git-
Open Google Chrome and navigate to 'chrome://extensions'.

Enable Developer Mode by toggling the switch located at the top-right corner of the page.

Click on the
button.

Navigate to the directory where you cloned the repository and select it.

The extension should now be loaded and visible in the extensions list.

Open the extension popup while playing Codenames.

Follow the instructions based on your role as Operative or Spymaster.

Codenames is a popular board game where players split into two teams: red and blue. Each team has a Spymaster who gives one-word clues to guide their team members in guessing the right words on the board while avoiding the words belonging to the opposing team or the neutral words.
