• 在此基础上，蒙太奇字幕组 (@MontageSubs ) 成员 小p 补充并完善了 SE5 中新增与缺失的翻译项，提供了首个可直接用于 SE5 的简体中文翻译 JSON 文件。

如何参与 SubtitleEdit Avalonia 的翻译贡献？

• 仓库编辑（首选方式）
  • 在仓库中编辑路径：/src/UI/Assets/Languages/ChineseSimplified.json（项目处于快速迭代中，该路径可能变更；请以最新源码为准）
  • 提交你的改动以便纳入主项目，让所有人都能受益。
• Portable 本地验证（临时方法）
  • 使用 Portable 版启动程序后，会在运行目录下生成 Languages 文件夹。
  • 编辑 Languages/ChineseSimplified.json 即可在下次启动软件时看到修改效果。

This thread is for discussing and collaboratively improving the Simplified Chinese translation for SubtitleEdit Avalonia (SE5). Use it to collect feedback and align translation quality and style.

Background

• The initial translation was generated by a conversion script from LenhartStephan that adapted SubtitleEdit 4’s Chinese translation into a format usable by SE5.
• Building on that, @MontageSubs member Meow P (@mtsubs ) supplemented and polished translations for items that were added or missing in SE5, producing the first Simplified Chinese JSON file ready for direct use in SE5.

How to contribute translations to SubtitleEdit Avalonia

• Edit the repository (preferred)
  • Edit the file at /src/UI/Assets/Languages/ChineseSimplified.json in the repository (the project is moving fast and this path may change; follow the latest replies or source code for the current location).
  • Submit your changes so they can be merged into the main project for everyone to benefit from.
• Validate locally with the portable build (temporary method)
  • When you run the portable launcher, a Languages folder is created in the program directory.
  • Edit Languages/ChineseSimplified.json to see your changes on the next program start.
  • Note: changes in the portable build affect only your local copy. Please submit final edits to the official repository.
• Contribute without a GitHub account
  • Email your modified ChineseSimplified.json to niksedk, or join MontageSubs’ IRC channel (no registration required) and post a download link for your file in the channel.
  • Other translators and contributors will help forward and merge your changes into the project.

How to give feedback (guidelines for posting in this thread)

• Recommended content: problem description, affected UI location, original text and suggested translation, and screenshots.
• Language: Chinese or English are both welcome.

Translator contribution guidelines

• Keep keys unchanged; only modify value text.
• Consistent terminology: use the same translation for common items.
• Concise and clear: UI text should be short and intuitive; avoid lengthy phrasing.
• Context aware: consider differences between buttons, menus, tooltips, and other UI contexts.
• Use Simplified Chinese conventions for wording and punctuation.
