It would be nice to have focus follow mouse without windows moving as a result. Sometimes I am looking at one window, and need to follow direction from it while operating on another window. When both windows cannot be made to fit on the screen at the same time I have to continually switch between them so they slide back and fourth.
I would like to be able to keep the windows in their current positions, but type into or click on things in another window that is partially offscreen without it moving all the way onto the screen making the instructions I have to follow on the first window go out of my sight.
Basically it seems niri only supports interacting with a window that is fully on screen, and any interaction with a partial window moves it fully onto the screen. That auto-move is something I want the ability to disable. I want to be able to interact with partially off-screen windows. Even if this cannot be made possible for clicking it would be good if I could type into a partially visible window.
