possible hold-layout option for window-close

I built a custom window animation plugin for my setup. I noticed that the animation is overlapping a neighbour window, if there is one on the right. So I made a patch for my setup in the Niri code with the help of Claude, so I have a switch to set a hold-layout option. Switched on, the neighbour is now waiting until the animation is done. Below you see the comparison of standard Niri code and my custom code. Would that be an idea to implement as option for window-close?
