LocalAgentBridge v0.4.1 adds quality-aware local delegation while keeping Codex responsible for implementation, architecture, security and final verification.
- Public starter requires only Qwen3 4B; Balanced and Quality profiles are optional.
- Light, Medium, Large and Maximum compute tiers are documented. Quality defaults to Large, with GPT-OSS preferred for substantive work and bounded stronger-only escalation.
- Portable Windows installation, configuration, Codex/MCP setup, doctor checks and troubleshooting; Issues and private vulnerability reporting.
- Source-only MIT distribution; model and dependency licenses remain separate.
Validation: 145 tests passed, one Windows symlink-permission skip; lint, clean installation, dependency checks, package/privacy audit and bounded real MCP smoke passed. Expensive reference benchmarks were not rerun.
Local output still requires supervision and can be confidently wrong. Optional large models need substantial memory and may be slow. Content compression measurements are not measured cloud-token savings; no controlled cloud-savings result is claimed.
