Flock Energy is a climate-tech company building AI, IoT and data systems for India's power distribution sector. Nitish Kapoor joined as one of the first engineers in September 2024 and now owns platform engineering across the data, ML and hardware stack — from custom IoT hardware (ESP32-S3, custom PCBs, edge firmware), through ML-driven load disaggregation and data infrastructure, up to full-stack control platforms (TypeScript, React, Node, Postgres) and typed agentic AI on Gemini.
The mission: decarbonisation at DISCOM scale — taking the messy reality of power distribution in India and turning it into decisions utilities can act on.
