130 lines for 1 whole network hop either its 40ms or 1000ms
in complex corporate envs like teleport proxy / windows / AKS / it can be up to 700 ms (or even more)

I agree with you about 700+ lines for 3ms but 130 lines for whole network hop that can be whole sec
and that PR was wrong presented to you as there was 2 optimizations in one

For now I'll accept the round-trip change in fetch.rs as that will help the most.
