GearRank Issues

Welcome to the public feedback and issue tracker for the GearRank family of sites.

This repo is the central place to report bugs, suggest features, propose improvements, and discuss ideas for the GearRank network.

What this repo is for

Use this repo if you want to:

  • report a bug
  • suggest a feature
  • propose a scoring or ranking improvement
  • share an idea for a new tool, page, or workflow
  • flag incorrect data, broken links, or confusing UI
  • discuss broader ideas for the GearRank family

Where to post

Issues

Use Issues for things that are actionable and specific, such as:

  • bugs
  • broken pages or features
  • incorrect calculations or rankings
  • UI/UX problems
  • clear feature requests

A good issue usually includes:

  • what you expected
  • what happened instead
  • steps to reproduce the problem
  • screenshots if relevant
  • the site or page involved

Discussions

Use Discussions for broader or less-defined topics, such as:

  • ideas and brainstorming
  • feedback on site direction
  • scoring philosophy debates
  • feature concepts that are still forming
  • questions about how GearRank should work

If you are not sure whether something should be an issue or a discussion, start with a Discussion.

Before posting

Please take a quick look to see whether your issue or idea has already been reported. Adding details to an existing thread is often more helpful than creating a duplicate.

Scope

This repo covers the GearRank family of sites as a whole, not just a single project. When posting, please mention which site your feedback is about.

Reporting bugs

When filing a bug, it helps to include:

  • site name
  • page URL
  • device / browser
  • what you were doing
  • what went wrong
  • whether the issue is repeatable

Suggesting features

When suggesting a feature, try to explain:

  • the problem it solves
  • who it helps
  • why it would improve the site
  • any examples or mock ideas if you have them

Be constructive

Feedback is welcome, including critical feedback. Please keep it respectful, specific, and constructive.

Thanks

Thanks for helping improve the GearRank family. Community feedback helps shape what gets built next.
