Canvas Bili Player 1.1.1

Choose a tag to compare

@Nory-X Nory-X released this 30 Sep 02:48

Turn Bilibili links on an Obsidian Canvas into embedded player nodes — sized 16:9 and labelled with the real video title, instead of a cramped 400×400 frame captioned "External Player - 哔哩哔哩弹幕网嵌入式播放器".

What it does

  • Rewrites bilibili.com/video/BV… to Bilibili's official embed player (player.bilibili.com), so you get a clean player instead of the full site with its overlay UI
  • Fits the node to 16:9, preserving any width you already enlarged past 480 px and only enforcing the ratio
  • Fetches the real video title from Bilibili's public API and writes it into the node label
  • Caches titles on disk, so reopening Obsidian needs no network
  • Keeps the label always visible — Canvas shows link labels on hover only
  • Works retroactively on links already present in your canvas

Download both into <vault>/.obsidian/plugins/canvas-bili-player/, restart Obsidian, then enable Canvas Bili Player under Settings → Community plugins.

Notes

  • Desktop in practice — Canvas web-link nodes do not render on mobile.
  • Relies on undocumented Obsidian internals (canvas.createLinkNode, the link node's setUrl / updateNodeLabel). It fails safe: if a patch cannot be applied, links are simply left untouched.
  • Network: reads titles from api.bilibili.com (once per video, then cached) and renders player.bilibili.com in the node. Nothing else is sent anywhere, no analytics.
