Navigation and Map Controls

Version 4.0.3 adds the same map controls to the native UI App and Connected Phone.

Action Control
Inspect a location Hold the left mouse button on the map and drag; use a finger drag on Connected Phone
Zoom in / out + / −
Follow the vehicle again ; also resets manual zoom

Controls are available on driving maps, compact maps and the Fleet map. Dragging stops automatic centering and holds the inspection heading while the vehicle marker continues moving. Manual zoom ranges from one quarter to four times the normal map radius; the Dynamic zoom intensity setting still controls speed-dependent zoom.

Vanilla navigation preferences

With TaxiDriver route guidance enabled, the game menu's floating-arrow and ground-marker preferences determine which navigation aids appear. TaxiDriver no longer enables both unconditionally. Turning TaxiDriver guidance off temporarily suppresses those aids; cleanup restores the captured preferences.

Native screen visibility

The native app remembers its minimized and button-only state for the current CEF session, including layout recreation after opening the map or delivery screens. This preference is separate from shared gameplay settings and does not force Connected Phone into a minimized state.

The app and its native map hide when non-driving game screens own the UI, then return on the driving screen. Recreating the app returns its map to follow mode. Restarting the game/UI session may reset the minimized preference.

Rendering

Native panning adjusts the shared BeamNG 0.39 map camera before roads, vehicles and utility layers draw. Connected Phone uses its canvas camera. Map controls participate in native occlusion masking; map-scale and pan transitions use bounded texture clearing.
