CanopyCode v1.0.14 — August 21, 2026

Improvements

  • The column mapping screen now appears on every CSV import, so you can check how your columns were matched before anything is brought in. Once everything matches you can tick "Don't show this again", and both CSV screens can be switched back on in CC_CONFIGURE → Data
  • Remembered column mappings now build up across files instead of replacing each other, so a second surveyor's file no longer erases what the first one taught CanopyCode. A "Clear remembered mappings" button was added to CC_CONFIGURE → Data
  • X Coordinate, Y Coordinate, Latitude and Longitude can now be mapped by hand. Previously an unrecognised coordinate header could not be assigned at all, and those trees imported with no location

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a reused tag number stopping an entire CSV from importing. If the same tag number appears on more than one row, CanopyCode now shows you every affected row with its species and DBH, and offers three choices: skip those rows and import the rest, bring them all in with a letter added so each tag is unique (511 becomes 511A and 511B), or cancel. A survey of 193 trees with three reused tags previously imported nothing at all
  • Fixed CC_ANALYZE discarding coordinates that a CSV had just imported. When a second CSV moved a tree, the default button replaced the newly imported survey position with the older position from the drawing, with no warning. The two sides are now labelled by where the numbers come from, a "Why they differ" column tells you whether an import or a drawing edit caused it, and the default now keeps your tree data and redraws the blocks to match
  • Fixed CSV import failing on files whose column headers were not recognised. Sixteen common surveyor names now map automatically, including Diameter, Caliper, Trunk Diameter, DBH (inches), Health, Health Rating, Condition Rating, Tree Species, Tag Number, Tree Tag, Comment and Remarks
  • Fixed on-screen instructions naming eight commands that no longer exist, so typing what the screen said returned "Unknown command"
  • Fixed the import confirmation dialog showing DBH changes that would not actually be saved
  • Fixed the import "Next steps" list skipping a number
