Does Nx 23 support Angular 22?

No - based on the current Nx docs, @nx/angular does not declare support for Angular 22 yet.

The Angular plugin requirements list @angular/core support as >= 19.0.0 < 22.0.0, so Angular 22 is outside the supported range. The Nx/Angular compatibility matrix also currently lists Angular versions up through ~21.2.0, with latest Nx supporting those Angular 21 versions. (nx.dev) (nx.dev)

For a production workspace, stick with Angular 21 or below for Nx 23 until the matrix is updated. If you’re experimenting with Angular 22, it may be worth testing against the latest canary, but I wouldn’t treat that as supported until the docs/release notes say so.

The support has been added many weeks ago (2026-06-18) in 23.1.0-beta.0 (see: https://github.com/nrwl/nx/releases). Waiting for the 23.1.0 to be released.

Anyone knows when 23.1.0 is to be expected to be out?
