Summary of the issue:
In some systems, when a symbol is inserted using associated gestures, it's not spoken regardless of typing echo. In other systems, symbols are spoken twice.
Description of how this pull request fixes the issue:
Added a checkbox and a setting in emoticons configuration to ensure the speaking of inserted symbols.
