Hey everyone! I’d like to share a Christmas-themed logo for our beloved mini.nvim so we can get into the holiday spirit together. It’d be awesome if you all shared your own versions too. And who knows, maybe @echasnovski 😉 will even temporarily use one of your logos if he likes the idea!

I really want this on my 'mini.starter' page. It just seems so wrong to temporarily switch to 'snacks.dashboard' to display a 'mini.nvim' logo. I'm so torn as I love the holidays and this is a work of art!! I wonder if I could just make an auto command to load an image after ‘mini.starter’ loads.

It's completely hacky, but it works good enough for me. I use non-breaking spaces in my header for mini.starter as a placeholder to find the coordinates of where to place the image. Then in an auto command upon 'mini.starter' opening, I use 'image.nvim' to place the image in the correct spot. Then I make a one time autocommand to remove the image after the starter window goes away. Not perfect, but good enough for now. Need to run out and do errands.

Yeah... I wait for Neovim's built-in support to show images to incorporate this in 'mini.starter'.

Yeah, I like the idea. My only concern was that this does not affect the repo itself (same as the current logo is tracked in Git). I can upload it to assets repo and temporarily (during holidays) link to it in the README as with standalone modules.

I have couple of questions:

• Would you mind just removing the blue dot behind tree's trunk? Everything else looks great.
• If you want to do the same for MINI and MiniMax logos, I'll do the same for them: MINI - on site, MiniMax - in its README.

I think it is a bit too early to put them up. If you don't mind, I'll adjust them on December 1.

Alright, I think everything’s sorted now. Could you guys update the links in the messages? I ended up renaming assets and force-pushing to clean up the history, so sorry for the inconvenience. I didn’t remove the other variants, so pick whichever ones you need. If you find anything you want or need changed, I’ll try to update it later.

All logos are now back from being festive. Holidays are over :(

In case I forget, could anyone please remind me (like mention me here, maybe) in late November 2026 to do this again on December 1st 2026?
