Translation questions

I can't find the language setting. Is this set automatically based upon the browser?

Also, in Settings - User there is a tab TwoStepVerification for which I cannot find the strings in en.json (and nl.json), yet it's all translated.
Where are the strings for this?

Those screens are not from this repository — Passkeys, API tokens and the About page do not exist here, so what you are looking at is a build of my fork. That is why the strings are in no en.json or nl.json you have: upstream's tree has no two-step verification at all, in any locale.

They are in mine, under settings.twoFactor — which is the other half of why you could not find them, since nothing is called TwoStepVerification. The three you circled:

One inconsistency of mine while we are here: my English says "Two-factor authentication" and my Dutch "Tweestapsverificatie" — two steps rather than two factors. They should agree.

On the language. There is no setting once you are signed in, here or in my fork — I checked both. The locale comes from localStorage.locale when it is there, and otherwise from navigator.languages, so for most people it is indeed the browser. There is a manual choice: the globe at the top right of the sign-in page. It writes that key and the choice sticks — but it sits on the one screen you stop seeing once you are in, which is exactly why it cannot be found. I am adding a proper one to Settings → Preferences on my side, kept with the account rather than with the browser, and set to automatic unless somebody chooses otherwise.

And a favour, since you are the person who wrote the Dutch here. My fork has a number of screens this repository does not, and their Dutch is mine, not a native speaker's — the two-step wording you just read is a fair sample of the quality. Would you look over it?

I have had bad experiences with contributing to a project AND its fork. Somehow - as a translator I don't exactly understand GitHub - the translation files get mixed up/overwritten in my repository, which resulted in inconsistent PR's.
