Thanks for all of these, and for your patience. In 1.2.8, out now: the top bar no longer shifts during undo (#546), the caret shows at the start of a line (#547), Tab / Shift+Tab indent and outdent bullets (#368), and typing after inline code at the end of a line is plain text again. On dragging a covered shape: we're keeping the PowerPoint behaviour (a press selects the top shape); Alt-click reaches the one underneath. |

Open your PowerPoint decks in Bento
Go to bento.page/import, drop in a
.pptx, and get back a.bento.htmldeck you can edit and present. The conversion runs in your browser, and your deck is never uploaded. Before you download, the page shows what came across exactly, what was approximated and what was left out. Tables and charts arrive as marked placeholders for now.Inside a deck, Save as → Import PowerPoint… opens the same page in a new tab. If you prefer a terminal, the same conversion runs as
node convert/cli.mjs deck.pptx.Sharing you can rely on
Decks written by hand or by AI
A deck that left out something the format expects, such as the theme or the page size, used to hang on the loading screen. It now opens, with the missing parts filled in from the editor's defaults and everything you wrote kept.
This release also includes security fixes, so please update. Open the About dialog in any deck and the update will be offered. It is signed like every release, and your file is rewritten in place with the same content.
