  • Added subsections to the Hide prices section.
  • Changed the checkbox label from Prevent Sales of Zero Priced Product to Hide Add To Cart.
  • Changed field Button URL to Link URL.
  • Added screenshot to show the Specific categories configuration.
  • Removed an unused image from the image folder.

The "Prevent Sale of Zero Priced Product" setting has been replaced with a "Hide Add to Cart" dropdown option. This dropdown provides two configuration choices that control price visibility and online sales behavior.

Hi @khaj-odoo, I have drafted the documentation update for the "Prevent Sale of Zero Priced Product" setting update. Thank you for the help. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Hi @khaj-odoo, could you link this documentation PR to your feature update PR, so this documentation PR merges after your feature merges? Thank you!

(I'm not sure how to do this through runbot, if you'd like to teach us how, that would be really helpful for the entire team 😊 )

Hello @meval1006
I’ve added a few small suggestions to help clarify the wording and better reflect the feature’s behavior. Please feel free to adjust if needed.

Hello @Felicious
After my feature PR is merged, the Runbot team will take care of internally linking this documentation PR to the deployed PR. So for now, we’ll need to wait for that step.

Thanks for the update.

Hi @meval1006 😄

I just stumbled upon this documentation.
Thank you for your work! ❤️ I made some minor comments on your changes to the existing content.

However, I spoke to the product owner, and apparently, this feature won’t be part of the 19.1 freeze. So I guess we shouldn’t document it yet :/
That’s why I didn’t review the new “Hide the Cart” features, as they could still change.

If you have any questions, feel free to reach out :)

Go to :menuselection:`Website --> Configuration --> Settings`, scroll to the :guilabel:`eCommerce`
section, and enable :guilabel:`Product Reference Price`. :ref:`Navigate to the product form
<ecommerce/products/create-products>`.

Set the product's :guilabel:`Sales Price` and select the unit (e.g., :guilabel:`Units`). In the
:guilabel:`Base Unit Count` field, enter the number of units in the product, then select the
relevant unit from the dropdown list.

I think a numbered list would make more sense, as it is easier for users to follow the process.
