why do i get : {"detail":"Message exceeds maximum length"}

sometimes i need to feed a lot of words like a book on one message and i get this error as a response: why do i get :
{"detail":"Message exceeds maximum length"}
Is there any solutions?
i'm not running out of tokens is that it has a limit on how many words you can paste per message?

sometimes i need to feed a lot of words like a book on one message you give the model to much.
A model do have a maximum number of context length.
Splitt your requests into multiple smaller ones and it should run better.
If you use a local installed model, you can additional increase the maximum context length (in Ollama with num_ctx). But be carefull. Longer context length means more context space on the hardware.
Double check the model parameters before increase the num_ctx.

i thank you for the response but in lm studio witch is the engine that i use to run models i can paste the same message and it will process it. the context length of the model is not the problem i think.

Check the maximum context tokens configured in Odysseus for the call. This could be your bottleneck, as it overrides LM Studio's internal configurations.
