OpenClaw GitHub App: Test & dogfood on a real repo

MVP built at offloadmywork/openclaw-github-app. Architecture: GitHub Actions runtime + Actions Cache for state + Cron for heartbeats. Next steps: (1) Set up a test repo with the action configured, (2) Test all trigger types (heartbeat cron, issue opened, PR opened, @mention in comments), (3) Fix issues found during testing, (4) Document setup instructions in README. 🎉 First Fully Successful Run!

The OpenClaw GitHub App just completed its first end-to-end successful pipeline run.

What works

• Full pipeline: connect → auth → agent request → model with tool use → completion → success
• OpenRouter integration: Using GLM 4.5 Air (free model) via OpenRouter
• GitHub Actions runtime: Triggers, secrets, and workflow execution all working
• Demo repo: Tested against offloadmywork/demo-api

What was fixed to get here

• Provider-agnostic support with auto base URL resolution for 8+ providers
• OpenRouter-specific configuration (model prefix, API endpoint)
• Tool use flow working through the full agent lifecycle

Current status

• ✅ Cron/schedule trigger works
• ✅ Manual workflow_dispatch works
• ⚠️ Issue/PR event triggers need work (action logs "No issue/PR to post to")
• ⚠️ Response posting not yet implemented (agent runs but doesn't comment back)
• ⚠️ 300s lifecycle timeout even on immediate errors — needs fast-fail detection

Next steps

Creating dedicated issues for each production-readiness item on the openclaw-github-app repo. Keeping this open as testing is ongoing.
