1. Run flatpak app
2. App hangs on '[3:1007/224541.381368:ERROR:ui/aura/env.cc:257] The platform failed to initialize. Exiting.' to about ± 4 minute and crash

Managed to run by adding --socket=wayland to flatpak run.

App correct work but mesage Failed to connect to the bus: Failed to connect to socket /run/dbus/system_bus_socket: No such file or directory remained.

It seems to be an issue with Electron v38.2.1. I downgraded it to v38.0.0, and the problem with Wayland no longer occurs 43a6e85

I've updated the Flatpak binaries with the fix, and I'll also update the Flathub release soon.

I think so in new Electron version auto enable Wayland. This make this problem since in you flatpak don't permission on Wayland socket.

I recreated this problem on OpenComic v1.6.5, force enable Wayland for app: flatpak run app.opencomic.OpenComic --enable-features=UseOzonePlatform --ozone-platform=wayland.

Adding Wayland socket permission flatpak --socket=wayland run app.opencomic.OpenComic --enable-features=UseOzonePlatform --ozone-platform=wayland fix this and app start.

I think this is happening in new version Electron due to the gradual abandonment of X11 support by distributions.

Me proposal add permission on Wayland socket and work with Wayland straight ahead and not through XWayland.
