Omarchy's main focus is on developers, and I think that's one of its biggest strengths. It allows us to focus on the existing community first, grow the ecosystem, and build more interesting things around Omarchy.
However, I've also been thinking about non-developer users and how we could make Omarchy easier to adopt for different kinds of workflows without changing its developer-first identity.
My suggestion would be to reorganize the Install menu around task-oriented setups.
For example, instead of having development tools directly under:
Menu > Install > Developmentwe could introduce a new Tasks section:
Menu > Install > Tasks > DevelopmentMenu > Install > Tasks > GamingMenu > Install > Tasks > ScreencastingMenu > Install > Tasks > Web DesignMenu > Install > Tasks > Desktop PublishingMenu > Install > Tasks > StreamingEach task could install a curated set of applications and tools for that specific workflow.
This way, Omarchy could remain developer-focused at its core while making it much easier for other users to configure the system around what they actually want to do.
It could also give the community another area to contribute to: creating and maintaining task presets for different workflows.
