Lunar Lake laptop lags for about 30 seconds after waking up from sleep

I am having this small annoyance with two Intel Lunar Lake laptops, the Lenovo X1 Carbon GEN 13 and the Asus Zenbook S14.

Both work fine with Omarchy but when they sleep on battery for more than a few hours, they become laggy when waking up from sleep. This lasts about 30 seconds before they become fully responsive again. It does not happen when connected to a power source.

Anybody else experiencing this issue?

Same here with the ASUS Zenbook S14. It was also present in vanilla Arch Linux Installations so not related to Omarchy. Of course it would be helpful to get this fixed.

I was hoping otherwise, but I think it's a kernel issue.

Same here for a X1CG13, Debian Forky, 6.19.14.

The problem is also affecting the latest Panther Lake chips. At this point, I think this is an issue with Intel, and the fix will have to come from them.

Seems to be way better after Debian kernel 7.0.4-1 [1]

After switching to cachyos kernel, the issue is gone. Can confirm that wakes from extended sleep on 7.2.6-1-cachyos kernel are completely fine. Tested on X1 Carbon Gen 13.
