First time i tried installing Omarchy on this macbook was around the time T2 mac support was introduced. Didnt work that great but i didn't document anything. So thought i would put this here for anyone else having issues since with 3.4.1 i got a much more workable installation.
Omarchy 3.4.1 ISO loaded, keyboard worked right from the start which was a surprise.
Hybrid GPU Issues
After install login screen would be followed by nothing and I needed to plug in an external monitor to get anywhere. Following this guide:
Set iGPU as main, set amd gpu power level to low, then enable igpu at boot per the guide above. Then i got a "ghost display" so had to disable it via the monitor config with
monitor = eDP-2, disable
Haven't testing any applications using the dGPU tho.
Keyboard/Touchbar/Backlight
The touchbar apparently boots with one of two random id's based on the function mode and only one of them works so thats cool. Coin flip simulator on boot whether or not the touchbar loads up. Haven't found a good solution to this.
Post install the touchbar functions improperly
brightness controls affected the touchbar brightness display instead of the backlight display
kbd brightness controls did nothing as its also pointed at the wrong device
a few unused keys like mute and search
Remedy

Sleep/Hibernation
Nothing i attempt even got close to getting sleep/hibernate working so i disabled them both and made nothing happen when the lid is closed to prevent unwanted crashes.
Hopefully this helps anyone with similar hardware troubleshoot some issues. Will hopefully circle back to the touchbar/lid closing issues in the future.
