The webcam seems to be fine for me (/dev/video returns a bunch of results), can you check your bios settings and look for other devices or something like that https://askubuntu.com/questions/1230239/built-in-webcam-not-detected-also-no-dev-video-in-ubuntu-20-04-and-18-04 |

Uh oh!

System details
HP EliteBook 835 G8, Omarchy 3.3.3, AMD Ryzen 5PRz, AMD Radeon Veg
What's wrong?
My laptop’s built-in webcam is not working on Omarchy.
The system does not detect any video devices:
ls /dev/video*returns:
This suggests the webcam is not being detected by the kernel at all (not an app issue).
What I’ve tried
Checked
/dev/video*→ no devices foundTried loading the standard webcam driver:
(no change)
This appears to be a driver / hardware detection issue, possibly related to newer laptop webcams (MIPI / IPU-based)
Expected behavior
The built-in webcam should be detected and exposed as
/dev/video0.Actual behavior
No webcam device is detected by the system.
