Current file manager

Currently the file manager is nautilus which is battle tested, not denying on that. The main caveat is theming which is limited and historically being difficult to maintain. Some omarchy themes just make a compromise in with some nautilus themes and nautilus don't look integrated.

Alternative file manager

Cosmic applications are completely themable with ron files and cosmic-settings allow to switch them easily through cosmic-settings appearance import <THEME_FILE>.ron. That allows to make color perfect themes for every omarchy theme available and make good integration. A side effect is that any app using libcosmic will end up themed.

I’ve actually been building a native Rust + GTK4 file manager called Teral, with theming and Omarchy integration as first-class goals. It isn’t Omarchy-specific, but Omarchy is one of the environments I specifically want it to feel native in. Teral looks for a teral.toml file inside the current Omarchy theme, and if one isn’t available, it attempts to derive its colors from the active theme automatically. It’s still early and there are quite a few things I want to improve before calling it stable, but it’s already available and usable. I haven't properly tested but I love that has hotreload of the theme, it works with all themes. I hope it gets some support from omacon, it looks really really nice.

And also if you have any ideas on how we can make it better, do tell me as well, i am alone working on it, a second brain would be much better.
