Feature Request: Workspace Overview (similar to GNOME Activities / macOS Mission Control) #6624

Sharing an external-plugin implementation of this workflow that I now have running locally on Omarchy with Hyprland 0.56.2:
The overview itself comes from Hyprview, by yz778 and contributors. I worked with Codex on compatibility and interaction fixes and have opened two draft upstream PRs:
The changes include isolated nested-compositor tests for repeated open/close, workspace and fullscreen-state restoration, reload/unload, and real pointer selection. The compatibility tests passed at 100% and 200% scaling; selection tests covered default behavior at 100% and fullscreen-on-select at 200%. The optional setting defaults off. I saw the external-plugin direction discussed in #6611. This is another opt-in implementation to evaluate, with fixes going to Hyprview first. It still needs wider hardware/monitor testing and matching plugin builds across Hyprland updates before considering any default integration. |

Feature Request: Workspace Overview (similar to GNOME Activities / macOS Mission Control)
First of all, thank you for building Omarchy. I've been enjoying using it.
Problem
I'm a software developer, and I also do frontend work. During a typical workday I often have many applications open at the same time—multiple terminals, browsers, editors, design tools, documentation, communication apps, etc.
As new tasks come in throughout the day, they usually end up in different workspaces. After a while, it becomes difficult to remember which window is located in which workspace. I often find myself switching back and forth between workspaces just to locate a specific window.
Proposed Feature
One feature I really appreciate in GNOME is Activities Overview, and on macOS it's Mission Control.
Instead of cycling through workspaces, I can instantly see every workspace and all of its windows in a single overview, making it easy to visually locate the window I need and switch to it.
Would it be possible to implement something similar in Omarchy?
I'm not suggesting an exact clone, but rather a workspace overview that displays all workspaces and their current windows in a single view. I think this would greatly improve navigation for users who work across many workspaces throughout the day.
Why it would be useful
I'd love to know whether something like this fits within Omarchy's vision. Thanks for the great work!
