Omabuntu exists because Omakub is still being used and it is a project that deserves to be kept alive.

The goal here is straightforward: keep it working, compatible with current Ubuntu releases, and reliable for the people who depend on it.
This is not about changing its direction or turning it into something else. It is about maintaining what already works and making sure it does not slowly break over time.

Omabuntu will also follow the evolution of Omarchy, bringing similar ideas and solutions to Ubuntu when they make sense in that ecosystem.

This space is meant to be a place to talk about:

• compatibility and upgrade issues
• broken or failing installs
• fixes and maintenance work
• ideas that can be evaluated when there is enough context

If you rely on Omabuntu or are interested in its future, this is where coordination and discussion can happen in a calm and focused way.

Nice. I just installed Omakub last week and really like most of the defaults. I did change the screen layout to 4x2, which I see you did too. More convenient and you still have access to the larger middle section. I will probably migrate to this, since I prefer tmux over zellij (already on my other servers and integrates nicely with Claude, etc). (not that I need to upgrade just for that, but I like that you're keeping this project updated).
