Prowl 2026.5.25
This release focuses on reliability improvements and a handful of UX polish items.
New
- Canvas is now available as a default view. Go to Settings → Appearance → Default View and choose "Canvas View" to have Prowl open directly into Canvas on launch. If no worktrees are present at launch, it falls back to Normal view.
- Prowl now asks for confirmation before closing a pane, tab, or group of tabs that contain active or recently-completed-but-unseen terminal work, preventing accidental data loss.
Fixed
- The toolbar no longer loses its tint color when entering or exiting macOS fullscreen. Prowl's chosen Light or Dark appearance is now used correctly throughout the fullscreen transition.
- Clicking an entry in the Active Agents list for a plain folder now navigates correctly instead of silently doing nothing.
- Worktrees that resolve to the same path are no longer listed twice after a repository refresh.
- Terminal text reads (selection, clipboard, accessibility, Quick Look, Services) now correctly handle content that contains embedded NUL bytes, preventing silent truncation.
Improved
- Updated Sparkle to 2.9.2, addressing a potential crash in the auto-update framework that was observed in the previous beta build.
