test layer::tests::tracing_appender_standalone_with_tracing_log has been running for over 60 seconds

Noticed the above few times. Likely live-loop caused by telemetry induced telemetry. Unsure why it's not consistent. Opening an issue to investigate and fix.

Hi, I’ve noticed this issue as well, and I suspect the root cause might lie within tracing-core.
I've opened a separate issue to track the details

From what I’ve observed, the problem may be related to the use of otel_info! inside the Drop implementation of LoggerProviderInner, which can trigger a lock during teardown and cause a live-lock or deadlock under certain conditions.

As a short-term workaround to reduce flakiness in CI, I was wondering if temporarily replacing otel_info! with print! might be acceptable?
If so, I’d be happy to submit a PR for that.
