I do not see a documented Codex setting for “use Chrome profile X” yet. The current behavior seems to be based on the Chrome profile where the Codex Chrome extension is installed, enabled, and connected. The docs specifically say that if you use multiple Chrome profiles, you should make sure you are using the same Chrome profile where the Codex extension is installed, and install/enable the extension in the active profile. So the most reliable workaround is to make one dedicated Chrome profile for Codex: If Codex still opens or attaches to the wrong profile, try this reset sequence: For now, I would avoid installing the Codex extension in multiple Chrome profiles at the same time, because that makes the active/connected profile ambiguous. This would be a useful feature request: Codex should expose a Chrome profile selector, or at least document exactly how it chooses between multiple connected Chrome profiles. |

I have multiple Chrome profiles. The Codex app with the Chrome skill seems to choose a different profile at random. Is it possible to configure which profile the Codex app uses?
