How to Use Codex to Iterate by Itself on MATLAB in VSCode? #5064

Description

@rockyicer

What version of the VS Code extension are you using?

0.4.15

Which IDE are you using?

vscode

What platform is your computer?

win10

What steps can reproduce the bug?

Hi,

I'm a Pro user of Codex, and so far, it works great in VSCode, especially when writing Python code. One of the features I love is how Codex can directly interact with the environment I’ve set up, automatically iterating on my code until it’s error-free. However, I’m trying to achieve the same functionality with MATLAB in VSCode.

Here’s my current setup:

I have the MATLAB extension installed in VSCode, and it’s successfully linked to MATLAB on my PC.
I can write and run MATLAB scripts in VSCode, and errors are displayed in the editor.
However, I can’t debug MATLAB scripts step by step in VSCode.
What I want to know is: How can I configure Codex to control my addon(linked MATLAB environment) and automatically iterate on my MATLAB code in VSCode until all bugs are resolved, just like it does with Python?

Any guidance or tips would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

What is the expected behavior?

configure Codex to control my addon(linked MATLAB environment) and automatically iterate on my MATLAB code in VSCode until all bugs are resolved

What do you see instead?

codex can not iterate for matlab code, it report error everytime but do nothing to fix it.
