App not opening pdf files

Hi there. I was a long time user on iOS, now made the switch to android. App is working well (missing the shortcuts in the left pane btw) but when I vlick a pdf file it downloads and is asking how to open it. Only, it ask to open it with "files" (so I can save it somewhere) or with my banking app (thats made so I can upload invoices to pay them) - but I see nowhere a pdf viewer.
I installed a bunch of them on my phone (epistheme, modern apps pdf viewer, muPDF) but it doesnt work.

Reverse is possible, I open the pdf app, browse to opencloud an open the file. Goes fast and good. But when Im looking for a file or info on opencloud, I dont know in advance if its a pdf or an image (eg).

I agree it should somehow go directly open it in a browsing app instead of having to press on the three dots, then "open with" then picking "Files by Google" or "Google Drive" to display it.

(so I can save it somewhere)

For me I can just open it with those apps ^ and press back.

The other option is to embed a PDF viewer in the app, but that's another can of worms.

For me I can just open it with those apps ^ and press back.

When I press the 3 dots and click "ooen with" I only get 2 apps:

KBC Mobile is my banking app. So not the one to choose for viewing pdf's. With material-files I can save it somewhere. Close opencloud, open my files app, browse to where I saved it. And view it directly in that app.

No.. is galaxy s25, with official firmware. I'm avoiding as much as possible google-apps, but its stock firmware.
