The Open Handbook Commons is a community-driven initiative dedicated to creating practical books on everyday life skills that everyone should have access to. Our publications are released as downloadable, print-ready PDFs and cover topics such as cooking, sewing and mending, home repair, basic survival, outdoor skills, digital literacy and other essential knowledge for daily living. All content is written and reviewed collaboratively by contributors who believe in sharing useful skills openly.

Every book is published under the Creative Commons Attribution–NonCommercial–ShareAlike (CC BY-NC-SA) license, which means anyone is free to download, print, share, and adapt the material for personal and educational use. You are welcome to print copies for yourself, your family, or your community, as long as proper credit is given and derivative works remain under the same license. Commercial reproduction or mass distribution, however, is not permitted without explicit permission. Our goal is simple: to build a freely accessible library of practical knowledge that empowers people everywhere.
