Yolanda: code itself has no value unless it comes with understanding of what it is doing and its assumptions. Containerization is a non-starter for modelers.

Jobst: publishing a model as closed source but has been validated but reusable as a library.

Yolanda: First, we have to define reuse, reuse output vs reusing components, reuse the model as a black box vs reuse as a library or extracting its internals and embedding them in your own model.

Jobst: The parts that can be made open source are made open source, the parts that cannot remain so
