Ability to uplevel a section

Due to the structure of my book (which should stay) I have something like this:

I could omit the name of the parent section, but then it still looks awkward:

I really want something like this - keeping the url and folder structure, just omitting one level in the navigation menu:

Now I have a more sophisticated feature idea on top of this, idk if that can work though:
I have the path /spiele/penguins/xml, of which /spiele/index.md is virtual. This is because we want to have permanent links to all games, but only display the current game in the navigation.

When linking from other pages it would be fantastic if I could specify a season-independent link (/spiele/xml) and it would automatically resolve it to the first currently visible sub-page (/spiele/penguins/xml) through the virtualisation.

I get it and I think that it is a wonderful idea. But we need a new issue for that ;)
