RSD 2.5 beta
Pre-releaseRSD 2.5 beta
This is a public preview of the security groundwork in PR #91. This archived beta boots to its earlier desktop after sign-in. The current RSD desktop is being integrated in PR #98. The right-click menu includes Files, which can browse mounted directories read-only. This build also adds stronger local account records, a Data access gate before sign-in, a random generator that stops when CPU entropy fails, and checks that installed programs come from the selected package generation.
Security work is still in progress. Data files are stored in plaintext. Boot does not enforce verified startup, TPM measurements do not form a complete trust chain, and native programs are not authenticated to a publisher. Account deletion is limited to a volume without other Data files and does not erase old blocks. Do not rely on this beta to protect sensitive data.
The ISO was built from commit 72f88e5c9daf08ac7ff8e37f67e4183a0092f7aa (tree a6cf4549699565de0025b9d5e063a8222bf4e814). The required build-and-boot check passed on that commit. The networking check passed 116/116 scenarios, including TCP listen with the expected exit code 219. The earlier FAT32 TCP-listen timeout was a failure, not a pass.

This prerelease comes from the PR head. PR #91 is still unmerged because main's verified-signature rule blocks its older commits. The published v2.4.0 release and its files have not been changed.
