Version bump looks correct: diff is limited to package.json and updates 1.2.3-alpha -> 1.2.4-alpha as described. No code-path changes here, so from my side this is good pending the remaining CI checks.

I checked the current head and I do not see an obvious blocking issue from the diff/API view. If CI is green, this looks fine from my side.
