Ubuntu installation commands do not work

Hello, I'm trying to install nvr on Debian, but the commands from the instructions don't work; there's no .deb file on GitHub.

sudo dpkg -i lightnvr__.deb

No, that is inaccuate -- we are not building debs at this time -- only the docker image is built or users choose to build their own local bare metal. I will need to update the instructions then.

Okay, then I'll have to find another solution!

@salopette: docker is super easy once you have made yourself familiar with. Effort is not more than learning apt commands. Advantage: you don't bloat your Debian with pakets you only need for a single application. lightNVR is probaly the only nice, lean, low resource, "all-you-need" NVR out there.

Using "build from source" instructions on a Debian GNU/Linux 13 (trixie) box. Appears to be missing /lightnvr/web/js/version.js. This crashes the npm build. I am not an advanced user, so maybe something stupid-simple I am missing?

Hmm, the build.s or build_web_assets.sh is supposed to generate it, I believe the later.

There are now ubuntu build assets published under releases. deb packages
