Could this be merged? It lives happily in my own github repo but I'd prefer to point people here than to my repo when they want to build mbtiles. |

Gave up hope for this to be merged; will instead suggest removing meta2tile from mod_tile package and put into own repo here https://github.com/geofabrik/meta2tile |
