Mac OS Tahoe

Hi,

I have a large ZFS dataset on my Mac Studio. Thank you so much for putting this project together! This setup is stable with the latest version of your project.

If I update to Mac OS Tahoe, will there be compatibility issues? Has anyone tested this? I am not ready to update yet, because I would like to verify ZFS compatibility with the new OS upgrade.

I've managed to get one system to load the old kext on tahoe, but the other apple silicon won't and I can't get the installer to run or trigger the required kextcache rebuild. I so wish they would develop some UI around this mac os subsystem.

Is there a way to force the kextcache rebuild, in case this happens to me when I upgrade?

Shouldn't be hard to load, so it is surprising to hear it is. But it is high-time to do a build on Tahoe, I'll start the process of updating the VM to latest everything.

I have my system loading with these third party filesystem related kexts and its always a pain after every upgrade to get them to load again. Apple is long overdue for building a UI to the kernel extension database and cache. The error messages are useless and sometimes trying to use them triggers the rebuild/reboot and sometimes it just goes into the ether.

Ah but there is a build that works on Tahoe... But if we are ok with the RC, we can make an official release

Older builds will work on newer OS generally (not the other way around).
