Hello OPNsense Community,
I am encountering a recurring issue with the Wake-on-LAN functionality in OPNsense version 24.1.6, where WoL packets are being sent over port 40000 instead of the standard port 9. This has been preventing the WoL feature from working as expected.
Details:
OPNsense Version: 24.1.6
Plugin: os-wol
Command Used: wol -i
Issue: WoL packets are directed to port 40000 instead of port 9.
This behavior persists whether I am using the os-wol plugin or the command line method (wol -i). Due to this, devices on my network are not waking up as they are not listening on port 40000 for WoL packets.
Has anyone else encountered this issue, or is there a known workaround or fix? Any guidance or updates regarding this problem would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your assistance,
Kaufmann Chen
