This commit resolves an issue where the application would display a blank white screen when deployed without the required `VITE_GEMINI_API_KEY` environment variable. The key changes are: - Implemented a startup check in `App.tsx` to verify the presence of the API key. If the key is missing, an informative error screen is now rendered, instructing the user on how to configure it. - Refactored `services/geminiService.ts` to initialize the Google Gemini client lazily. This prevents the application from crashing on load if the API key is not available. - Simplified `vite.config.ts` by removing the custom `define` block and relying on Vite's standard `import.meta.env` mechanism for environment variables. - Added a `.env.example` file to document the necessary environment variables for easier project setup.

This change fixes the white screen issue on Vercel by adding a check for the
VITE_GEMINI_API_KEY. If the key is missing, it displays a clear error message instead of a blank page. It also improves the code's robustness by handling the missing key gracefully and documents the required environment variables in a new.env.examplefile.PR created automatically by Jules for task 9998500568019997484 started by @orbiscode-ops
