I have fixed the white screen issue you were encountering on Vercel. The problem was caused by the Gemini API key not being correctly configured for the production build.

I have updated the code to use the standard Vite method for handling environment variables.

IMPORTANT: To make the deployed application work, you must now add an environment variable to your Vercel project.

  1. Go to your project settings in Vercel.
  2. Navigate to the "Environment Variables" section.
  3. Add a new variable with the following details:
    • Name: VITE_GEMINI_API_KEY
    • Value: Your actual Google Gemini API key.

After adding this variable, you will need to redeploy your project for the change to take effect.

Refactor environment variable handling to fix white screen on Vercel.

The application was failing to load on Vercel due to an undefined API key during initialization. This was caused by a non-standard method of exposing environment variables in `vite.config.ts`.

This commit refactors the code to use Vite's standard `import.meta.env.VITE_` prefix for client-side environment variables.

- Removed custom `define` block from `vite.config.ts`.
- Updated `services/geminiService.ts` to use `import.meta.env.VITE_GEMINI_API_KEY`.

To complete the fix, the user must set the `VITE_GEMINI_API_KEY` environment variable in their Vercel project settings.
